If you are a designer and designing for the user in a different part of the world, then you have to consider the meaning of the colours in other culture. Some colours have a unique meaning in all culture. For example Gold<\/strong>. \u00a0Gold is representing success and high quality in all culture. Another example is red. In India red is representing danger and Stop. But in China, the red colour<\/strong>\u00a0of the packet symbolizes good luck.\u00a0Red<\/strong>\u00a0is strictly forbidden at funerals as it is a traditionally symbolic\u00a0colour<\/strong>\u00a0of happiness; however, as the names of the dead were previously written in\u00a0red<\/strong>, it may be considered offensive to use\u00a0red<\/strong>\u00a0ink for\u00a0Chinese<\/strong>\u00a0names in contexts other than official seals.<\/p>\n

For another example, in the US the white colour signifies purity and it is used at a wedding. But in India white is used for death and funerals.<\/p>\n
