What is Google Sprint?.
Google Sprint was started by google about 5 years ago to solve the design problem quickly. The Design Sprint is run by a person called sprint master. The sprint master could be the Designer, CEO, Project Manager, Developers or Business Executives. The main responsibility of a Sprint Master is…
- a. Understand the problem that the team members should be solving.
- b. Invite and assemble the team members for the sprint. All sprint members could be from different teams from the same company.
There are six main stages for the design sprint. You can operate each stage on a daily basis. Monday to Friday are recommended based on the complexity of the issue. The Six main stages are followed.
1. Day 1 – Understand and Define the problem.
In the stage, you have to think from the main 3 perspectives.
- Business – Understand the Business Goal
- Technical – Thinking from a technical perspective help to understand the technology which you are going to use.
- User – Identify the Audience or identify the user of your product or requirement.
2. Day 2 – Diverge
The stage is giving a chance to team members to be thinking with their own creativity and imagination to solve the problem. Request to the team members to create a different solution for the problem.
3. Day 3 – Decide
Decide the best Option from the different choices given by the sprint team members on the diverge stage. The sprint master can arrange the voting system to select the best option from among the members.
4. Day 4 – Prototype
Create a prototype based on the solutions which are decided on in the previous stage. The prototype could be a wire-frame, a moke-up, working modal of the page / Problem.
5. Day 5 – Validate
Validate the prototype with the real user who is going to use your product and services. This a big chance to identify the issue and correct them.
